JAMES D. LORENZEN, P.Eng, BDS

James Lorenzen owns and manages Lorenzen Engineering Corporation.  His company has been providing engineering and project management services to various private and public clients since 1992.  In addition, he has over fifteen years of hospital, school and office facility management experience.  He is the first Canadian to have received the International "Frederick P. Smarro" Award for Excellence in Facility Engineering presented by the American Society of Mechanical Engineering, (1993), in Chicago, U.S.A. 
He has also authored numerous articles on maintenance and energy conservation in buildings, including:  Building an Effective Maintenance Department; Facility Testing - A Plant Engineer's Perspective; Improving Maintenance Performance: Tips for the New Manager; and Proven Energy Conservation Techniques for Plant Engineers
He is designated as a Consulting Engineer and is registered as a Building Design Specialist with the Association of Professional Engineers in Ontario.  He is also registered as a Qualified Designer with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing in Ontario.
